Itongadol.- Three French soldiers were stabbed outside of a Jewish community center in Nice, France, AFP reported on Tuesday.
None of the soldiers were seriously wounded and the attacker was detained. French media reported that the name of the attacker was Moussa Coulibaly, who shares the same surname as the attacker that killed four Jewish patrons at a Paris kosher supermarket last month.
It was not immediately clear if there was any family connection between the two and police were investigating. French media described him as around 30-years-old and known to police.
The soldiers were standing guard as part of France\’s anti-terror patrol, set off by last month\’s attack in Paris.
In addition to some 10,000 troops dispatched throughout France, 4,700 police officers were deployed at all 717 Jewish schools across the country, according to Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve.
Last week, Jerusalem and Diaspora Affairs Ministrer Natfali Bennett presented the cabinet with a report on anti-Semitic trends over the past year, which found that France is the “most dangerous country for Jews today.”
According to the report, which was compiled in collaboration with The Coordination Forum for Countering anti-Semitism and presented ahead of International Holocaust Remembrance Day, Muslim extremists are the “main instigators of global anti-Semitism.”
