Itongadol.- Three sirens sounded in Ashkelon Regional Council and two in Sha\’ar Hanegev, but army says it believes no rockets were fired from Gaza.

A number of red alert sirens were sounded in the Ashkelon Coast Regional Council area on Thursday, as well as an additional two sirens in the Sha\’ar Hanegev Regional Council.

The IDF stated that all of the sirens were false alarms.

A rocket fired from the Gaza Strip landed near the Eshkol Regional Council on Tuesday night, the first such attack since Operation Protective Edge came to an end on August 26.

Hamas arrested the culprits, believed to be a small Salafi group, and made clear to Israel that it remained committed to the cease-fire agreement, according to Prime Minister Binyamion Netanyahu.

Both Netanyahu and Defense Minister Moshe Ya\’alon said that "a drizzle of rocket fire" from Gaza would not be tolerated.
