An elevator was transferred for use in the Al-Awda Maternity Hospital in Gaza recently. The elevator will allow the patients to move between the different wards.
The hospital, consisting of three stories, is located in Jabaliya and is used by all women giving birth in the Gaza Strip.
The transfer of the elevator was executed with the cooperation and funding of the World Health Organization, WHO, and following a formal request from the Quartet.
The coordinating of the transfer of the elevator is part of the humanitarian effort made for the citizens of Gaza. These efforts are done on a daily basis on all levels, with an emphasis on matters of health.
