Iran. Israel confirmed that Ahmadinejad is a «threat» to the world and reiterated his concern for the Iranian presence in Latin America

The Israeli government confirmed on Tuesday that Iran is pursuing nuclear weapons and warned that if the regime headed by Mahmoud Ahmadinejad arms reaches its goal is "a threat" not only for the state but for everyone.

"We are confident that Iran wants to develop nuclear weapons and if it succeeds, it will not only threaten Israel and Middle East, but also the whole world," said Dorit Shavit, director general of the Israeli Foreign Ministry for Latin America and the Caribbean, to the Jewish News Agency (AJN).

 The official made this warning after Iranian President reiterated today during a ceremony for the celebration of 31 anniversary of Revolution Day his intentions to destroy Israel.

"We know that Iran has dangerous long-range missiles. We view with great concern the significance of this aniversary, as it is a country with a president who denies the Holocaust, threatens to destroy the Jewish state and wants to send to all inhabitants of Israel to Europe", argued Shavit.
