Obama’s advisor meets with AMIA case prosecutor, ratifies his support to the investigation

Peter Quilter, President-elect Barack Obama’s Advisor for Latin American Affairs, met on Friday with the prosecutor investigating the 1994 AMIA bombing, Alberto Nisman.
During the one-hour meeting, they addressed issues related to International terrorism, and agreed on the need to strengthen the mechanisms of cooperation between nations.
Moreover, the American representative met yesterday Argentine Foreign Minister Jorge Taiana, and the meeting was considered the commencement of official relations with the new  U.S. administration to be headed by Obama.
At the meeting, Quilter showed he is well informed about the progress in the AMIA case and ratified his strong commitment to the investigation of the bombing and the cooperation of the Argentine government in this regard.
In an interview with AJN, Nisman said "it was a pleasant surprise to have Peter Quilter in Argentina only three days after Obama’s victory".
At the end of the meeting, Nisman expressed his satisfaction and maintained that the fight against terrorism must be held within the framework of International cooperation.
