Itongadol.- Four IDF battalions under the command of the Binyamin Brigade launched a security sweep overnight between Tuesday and Wednesday, descending on the Palestinian village of Hizma, southeast of Ramallah.

The raid was ordered "due to an increase in unorganized violence" by a number of residents of the village, the IDF Spokesman Unit said The four battalions – Shaked, Kedem, Netzah Yehuda, and the Infantry Training School battalion, arrested eleven security suspects in the village, and uncovered three firearms, ammunition, military equipment, daggers, clubs, and printed material that incited to violence, the army added.

Meanwhile, an additional 28 suspects were arrested in IDF sweeps throughout the West Bank overnight. Several suspects allegedly took part in unorganized terrorist attacks on Israelis, and rioting.

Raids occurred in Diar Amar, northwest of Ramallah, Akb, east of Ramallah, and in Beit Umar, southwest of Bethlehem.

Other arrests occurred in Bnei Naim, south of Hebron, Al-Fawar, southwest of Hebron, and in Beit Awa, southwest of Hebron
