Ma’ariv visited the Palestinian and Syrian pavilions at Expo 2010, in China and took special note of the maps presented therein.  In no map was there mention of Israel.  "That is not unusual," says the author, "That is how it is with Palestinian and Syrian textbooks as well.  There lays the bone of contention.  It all begins, continues and ends with the Palestinian and Arab refusal to recognize Israel as the state of the Jewish People.  And to recognize that there is a Jewish People.  That is the crux of the conflict, above and beyond the issues of security and borders."

Yisrael Hayom writes: "Liberman is the Foreign Minister of Israel.  He is our showcase.  But when he appears before the United Nations, he takes account of no one and ruins, with the wave of his hand, the effort of those trying create a diplomatic process."

The Jerusalem Post fears a breakdown in the peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians, and notes that "The fate of Palestinians and Israelis is linked. Only through dialogue – and a genuine commitment to reconciliation by both sides – can we hope to find a solution."

Haaretz claims that the current government coalition is preventing PM Netanyahu from continuing with the settlement freeze and peace talks, and states that "Only a centrist government, in which there is a clear majority of supporters of compromise, will be able to promote an agreement with the Palestinians and extricate Israel from its international isolation. The formation of such a government is crucial at this point in time."
