Soldier lightly wounded in stabbing near Hebron; third attempt of the day

Itongadol.- A soldier was lightly injured in a stabbing attack near Hebron, MDA reported Friday.

The attack occurred at Jilber Junction. The terrorist was shot and killed.

Two attempted terror attacks were thwarted earlier on Friday.

In the first incident a suspected terrorist of Jordanian nationality attempted to stab a police officer at Jerusalem\’s Damascus Gate Friday.

According to police, the terrorist walked out of the Damascus Gate with knives outstretched in both of his hands.

He headed to a border police unit that was standing guard by the gate and shouted out, “Allahu Akbar,’ a police spokesperson said.

The police shot and killed the terrorist.

The 28-year-old had entered Israel yesterday coming via the Allenby Bridge. The Jordan minister of culture spokesman, Sabah al-Rifai state that Jordan is closely following the situation in order to understand what happened. .
