Itongadol.- Two terrorists stabbed and wounded three civilians at Jaffa Gate in Jerusalem\’s Old City on Wednesday.
Border Police officers shot the terrorists. Their condition was not immediately known.
Emergency workers evacuated the three seriously wounded victims in their 30s to nearby hospitals.
Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem was treating two of the wounded, while Hadassah University Medical Center in Ein Kerem was treating the third.
According to Channel 2, authorities were checking the possibility that one of the victims was accidentally struck by shots fired by Israeli security forces while neutralizing the terrorists.
The attack was the latest in a wave of terror that has taken the lives of more than 20 Israelis in the past three months.
On Sunday, a terrorist attempted to stab Israeli security forces at the Hassam Shoter checkpoint in Hebron. The soldiers fired at the terrorist, who was treated by Red Crescent paramedics and taken to a hospital for treatment.
On Saturday, a Palestinian man from the West Bank stabbed and wounded three Israelis before being apprehended by police in the Tel Aviv suburb of Ra\’anana.
The attacker, a Palestinian in his 20s from Tammun, northeast of Nablus, who police said was within the Green Line illegally, began his assault around 3:30 p.m. on Mordechai Anielewicz Street where he stabbed and wounded two Israelis – a man and woman in their 40s.
The seriously wounded man was rushed to Meir Medical Center, Kfar Saba, where his condition stabilized. A third victim, described by Magen David Adom as a woman in her 60s, was stabbed and lightly wounded not far away.
