Group of tourists encounter violence after accidentally entering Palestinian neighborhood of Jabel Johar in West Bank city.
Two American tourists were injured by Palestinian rioters Thursday in Hebron\’s Jabel Johar neighborhood after a group of five tourists accidentally entered the West Bank city, police officials said.
Palestinian residents threw hurled rocks and firebombs at the vehicle in which the five ultra-Orthodox tourists were driving, Channel 2 reported.
During the incident, a local ushered the group into his house where the tourists awaited rescue by security forces. Police and military forces arrived at the scene and extracted the tourists.
Two of the tourists suffered light-to-moderate wounds and were evacuated to a hospital for medical treatment.
