Itongadol.- Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah belittled the US-led coalition\’s attacks on Islamic State fighters in comments reported in Lebanese daily newspaper Al-Akhbar on Tuesday.
Nasrallah said the coalition\’s air raids against Islamic State are pale in comparison to Israel\’s air strikes in Lebanon during the 2006 Second Lebanon War.
The Hezbollah leader accused the U.S. of using the Islamic State threat to frighten the countries in the region and blackmail them as a prelude to impose its hegemony in the region, particularly in Syria and Iraq.
Nasrallah has faced a challenge from Islamic State and other Sunni terror group operatives in Hezbollah strongholds of Lebanon.
He said the organization was prepared to repel the jihadists advance on the Bekaa valley.
