Soldier stabbed, shots fired at border police in Jerusalem in suspected terror attack

 Itongadol.- A 20-year-old IDF soldier suffered light injuries when he was stabbed in the leg by Arab youths in the Pisgat Ze\’ev neighborhood of east Jerusalem on Thursday morning.

According to police, the soldier was approached and attacked by two Palestinians shortly after leaving his home.
He was taken to Hadassah University Medical Center, on Jerusalem\’s Mount Scopus by Magen David Adom.
Border police were searching the area for the suspects.
Police opened an investigation into the incident. They believe the motive for the attack was a nationalist background.
In another incident on Thursday morning in Jerusalem, shots were fired at a border police guard post in the area of Atarot, north of Jerusalem.
There were no injuries reported, but guard post was damaged. An initial investigation revealed 13 bullets from an M-16 rifle, which was apparently used in the shooting.
The two incidents occurred days before the fourth Palestinian prisoner release was scheduled to take place.
