Indian police say they have arrested a New Delhi journalist in connection with last month’s bomb attack on an Israeli diplomat’s wife in the capital.
Police spokesman Rajan Bhagat said Wednesday that a freelance journalist was arrested on Tuesday night in the southern part of New Delhi and was being questioned.
Media reports quoted police sources describing the man as a freelance journalist who claimed to work for an Iranian news agency.
"He will be produced in a local court after questioning," Bhagat said, declining to give further details.
The man was arrested on suspicion of participating in the bombing plot, broadcaster CNN-IBN reported.
Israel has blamed Iran for the attack. Indian officials have declined to cast blame while the investigation continued.
Tal Yehoshua-Koren was injured in the February 13 blast. She was riding in an embassy vehicle to pick up her children from school when a man on a motorcycle attached an explosive device to the rear of the car and then fled.
