ItongadolAJN.- After an anonymous call to 911, the AMIA building on Uriburu Street, where the Day Center operates, was evacuated. In dialogue with AJN, this is confirmed by Daniel Pomerantz, Executive Director of AMIA: "People are retaking their activity. We do not know yet if everything is all right. We are evaluating what happened. The entire building was revised and we are getting back to normal. Uriburu was evacuated for an hour”.
The building, where the central office of the Employment Service and various social programs of the entity also operate, was preventively revised by the Police, which ordered the cut of the street Uriburu between Viamonte and Tucumán, and the Explosives Brigade with negative result. While the recognition was being carried out, solidarity programs were interrupted, and staff and participants were evacuated.
In a statement, AMIA urged the authorities to make every effort to investigate the origin and nature of the threat received.
