Itongadol.- Two teenage Arab girls with knives stabbed and wounded a security guard at the entrance to the Ramle bus station in a terror attack on Thursday.
Security forces arrested the two teens following the stabbing in the central Israeli city that has significantly mixed Jewish and Arab population. According to police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld, the two assailants were both 13-years-old.
Magen David Adom paramedics provided initial medical treatment to the wounded man in his 20s before he was evacuated to Assaf Harofeh Medical Center in Tzrifin.
According to initial investigations, the one of the Arab minors arrived at the scene with a school bag.
When the teens reached a metal detector at the transit hub, a security guard asked them to provide identification, following which they pulled out knives and stabbed the guard in the leg and arm.
Senior MDA paramedic Shlomo Elkasalsi recounted the events at the scene where he provided initial treatment to the stabbing victim before ambulances arrived.
"While walking around the mall, I suddenly heard shouts of "terrorists, terrorists" and I rushed to the scene where I noticed a young man about 25-years of age fully conscience with several stab wounds to his limbs," said Elkasalsi."
Heighten security continued in the area after attack.
