Itongadol.- A Palestinian terrorist attempted to stab a soldier during a routine security check in Hebron\’s Hassam Jilber on Wednesday.
Security forces shot and subdued the terrorist. His condition was not immediately known.
No soldiers were wounded in the attack.
Wednesday\’s attack occurred at the site of another attempted stabbing on Tuesday night. In Tuesday\’s attack, a suspect arrived at the military position and produced a knife, before trying to stab a soldier, the IDF Spokesman Unit said.
Soldiers shot the attacker dead to defend themselves, the army added.
No soldiers were injured in the incident.
The attack came four hours after an IDF soldier sustained moderate stab wounds after being attacked by a terrorist armed with a knife in the Gush Junction in the West Bank.
Soldiers from the Kfir infantry brigade\’s Shimshon Battalion, who were securing the junction in Gush Etzion, spotted two suspects. After approaching them to question the men, the suspects produced knives, and one stabbed a soldier.
The unit opened fire, striking and killing both knife attackers.
