Itongadol.- Nadav Kreiman\’s heart, kidneys, lungs, and liver were donated to recipients between the ages of 67 and 29.
The family of a 24-year-old man who was killed in a road accident on a motorcycle immediately after the end of Passover agreed to donate his organs for transplant. Israel transplant said that by doing so, Nadav Kreiman saved the lives of five other people.
He was rushed to the rabin medical center-Beilinson campus in Petah Tikva with very serious injuries that caused lower-brain death.
A heart and kidney were given to a 51-year-old married man and father of three who lives in Oranit. Because of serious heart failure, he had previously undergone an artificial heart transplant at Sheba Medical Center in January 2012. But it was not permanent, and he waited for the donation of a human organ. Beilinson doctors said after the 16-hour surgery that the two organs were functioning well.
The other kidney went to a 29-year-old woman who had to have a kidney transplant for a third time.
The lungs went to two other patients at Beilinson, a 64-year-old man and a 67-year-old man. The liver was donated to a 66-year-old man, also at Beilinson.
