Itongadol.- The IDF successfully launched what they are terming a rocket propulsion system from the air force base of Palmachim on Friday, Israel Radio reported.
The report suggested that the rocket used was part of the "Jericho" series of rockets created by Israel, with capabilities of reaching up to 5,000 km.
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, Finance Minister Yair Lapid, and Defense Minister Moshe Ya\’alon met on Friday with defense officials who reported to the ministers on the implications of the proposed cuts in the defense budget, Israel Radio reported.
The defense officials emphasized that in the coming year the budget cuts would force the security system to stop projects, fire staff and that the cuts would also effect the defense industries.
According to the report, Netanyahu has not yet given his approval to the army\’s planned austerity measures.
