One Wounded in Stabbing Attack in Central Israeli City of Rosh Ha\’ayin

Itongadol.- A stabbing attack reported in central Israeli city of Rosh Ha\’ayin, according to Israel Police. A woman in her 30s is said to be lightly wounded after being stabbed in the arm. Magen David Adom emergency responders took the wounded female to Beilinson Hospital, Rabin Medical Center, Petah Tikva after providing initial treatment at the scene. She is currently in stable condition.

The suspected female assailant, a Palestinian from Kafr Qasem, was apprehended at the scene after a security guard tackled her to the ground and took away her knife. However, background to the event remains unclear. 
At the six-month mark of the current round of violence, the Israel Defense Forces notes a decline in the number of attacks, most of which take place on weekends. Figures from last month have not yet been tallied, but according to a security source, March saw fewer attacks than the 155 in February.
