The IDF announced on Friday morning that a suspected Palestinian terrorist opened fire on soldiers at a check point in the West Bank during regular security operations.
IDF soldiers fired back. No soldiers were injured in the attack.

This event comes on the heels of recent attacks perpetrated by suspected Palestinian terrorist in the West Bank and surrounding areas. Last week, hopes for a peaceful Ramadan were rebuffed with violence for the second time in less than 48 hours, when a Palestinian stabbed a border policeman in the neck near Jerusalem’s Damascus Gate.
The officer was critically wounded.
The stabbing followed a deadly Friday shooting by a Palestinian terrorist in the West Bank, which killed 25-year-old Danny Gonen, who was buried in the Lod Cemetery on Saturday night and left another man in moderate condition.
