Itongadol/ AJN.- For the First time, the Argentinean Jewish Community will not attend to the International Holocaust Day Ceremony organized by Chancellery because of the “the suspicious dead of the prosecutor of the AMIA case, Alberto Nisman” and the “disagreement with the Memorandum signed with Iran”, the leaders of the institutions confirmed to the Argentinean Jewish News Agency.

The Jewish Community will realice their own central event next Tuesday at 11am at the AMIA´S auditorium, in Pasteur 633. The act is also organised by DAIA, the Argentinean Zionist Organization (Organización Sionista Argentina (OSA), the Holocaust Museum of  Buenos Aires, B’nai B´rith, Sherit Hapleitá, Shoá generations and the Simón Wiesenthal Center, in order to “honours the memory of who has been persecuted and killed by the nazi cruelty”.

The event usually takes place every year at the Chancellery or the Education minister, like the last year, as a Goverment iniciative.

This year, the Head of the communities decided not to join because of their “annoyance” with the chancellor Héctor Timerman and the suspicious death of the prosecutor Nisman, who was found dead by a shot in the head this Sunday in his apartment in Puerto Madero.

A leader of the community enfatised to AJN that the causes of this change related  the “Government´s untidiness, the lack of respect to the communications, because the only they should do may be called for silence, without touching the prosecutor and the complaint and let it make its own judicial way”.

In addition, he pointed other reasons to not join the Governmet´s event as “the reappearance of Memorándum, which they insist in and protect”

“We are talking about a general annoyance, people would not stand that the leaders go to the Chancellery. The chancellor (Timerman) is one of the points of annoyance.”

Nisman presented last week a complaint against the president Cristina Fernández de Kirchner and the chancellor for “cover up the iranies” accused of the AMIA terror attack in 1994.

Since 2005, the General Assambly of the United Nations (UN) established the January 27 as the “International Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust”, as an anniversary of the liberation of the nazi camps.
