Itongadol.- Israeli police on Friday arrested a Palestinian teenager suspected of planning a stabbing attack at the Tomb of the Patriarchs in Hebron.
Police said the 17-year-old girl refused to undergo a security check at the site. When they pressed her on the issue, she pulled out a knife and threw it on the floor.
Police arrested the girl and took her in for questioning. She told police she planned to stab a security officer, police said.
Meanwhile, a Palestinian man was charged on Thursday in Judea Military Court with heading a terrorist cell that planned to assassinate Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman.
Ibrahim al-Zir allegedly planned, together with other members of the cell, to purchase a rocket-propelled grenade and fire it at Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman’s vehicle in order to stop the summer war in the Gaza Strip.
