Itongadol.- The Foreign Ministry on Friday issued a warning to Israelis not to travel to Egypt, ahead of the planned protests against President Mohammed Morsi that are due to take place on Sunday, Israel Radio reported.
The Foreign Ministry recommended avoiding traveling to Egypt and urged Israelis in the country to reconsider the continuation of their stay there.
Those who wish to remain in the country were asked to stay up to date with recent security developments, to follow instructions from authorities, and to avoid large crowds.
A man was killed by gunfire on Friday in the Egyptian city of Alexandria during clashes between supporters and opponents of President Mohamed Morsi, a health ministry official said.
It was not clear whether the victim was a Morsi supporter or opponent, added Amal Sharawi, the health ministry official. He was killed in clashes near the Muslim Brotherhood\’s local offices in the city\’s Sidi Gaber neighbourhood.
State news agency MENA said 70 people had been injured.
