 A rocket fired from the Gaza Strip exploded in a backyard in the southern city of Netivot shortly after 7:30 pm Friday. There were no reports of injuries or damage, but one person suffered from shock.

Frightened residents reported hearing explosion sounds. The Color Red alert system was activated before the rocket hit the area.

Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists fired dozens of rockets and mortar shells at the Eshkol Regional Council on Monday morning, during the Jewish holiday of Simchat Torah, in response to an Israel Defense Forces attack in Gaza which left two Palestinians seriously injured.

There were no injuries, but some buildings sustained damage and several goats were killed in a local kibbutz. According to Eshkol officials, some 55 rockets hit the area that day.

On Tuesday, Palestinian terror groups fired additional rockets into Israel, without causing any injuries. A rocket launched from the Gaza Strip on Tuesday exploded in an open area between Netivot and the Shaar Hanegev Regional Council.

Spokesperson\’s Office reported that Israel Air Force jets attacked a terrorist activity center and identified an accurate hit.

Palestinians reported that the IDF hit a training camp of Hamas\’ military wing, the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, and that there were no injuries in the strike.
