Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Avigdor Liberman spoke on the telephone (27 July) with the Romanian foreign minister, Teodor Baconschi, and thanked him for the help and cooperation of the Romanian government following the helicopter disaster.
FM Liberman told FM Baconschi that true friendship proves itself in difficult moments, and the Romanian government’s willingness to help and the efforts it has made since the disaster have shown it to be a true friend of Israel. Liberman also expressed his appreciation for the fact that President Traian Basescu called the Israeli embassy in Bucharest to offer his condolences.
FM Baconschi asked FM Liberman to convey his condolences to the bereaved families.
