Itongadol.- An Arab terrorist conducted a stabbing attack on Thursday evening at the Damascus Gate of Jerusalem\’s Old City, leaving an officer moderately wounded.
The terrorist was eliminated at the scene by Border Police officers.
Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency medical crews were dispatched to the scene to provide treatment to the officer who is around 35-years-old, before evacuating him to Shaare Tzedek Hospital for further care.
The attack is the second to take place in the area of the capital on Thursday.
Earlier a Palestinian Authority (PA) intelligence officer shot two Israelis, leaving one seriously wounded and the other lightly wounded, before being shot dead by IDF soldiers.
The attack took place at Hizme checkpoint just north of Jerusalem, which is the major artery into Jerusalem from Samaria.
