Itongadol.- A terrorist attempted to stab police officers by the Old City\’s Damascus Gate in Jerusalem Wednesday afternoon, according to a statement by Israel police.
According to reports, the assailant was shot dead and neutralized by security forces.
Police reports that Border Police Guards identified a suspicious looking man, dressed in camouflage attire and acting nervous, adjacent to the Damascus Gate.
Upon approaching him, the assailant pulled out a knife and attempted to stab the guards.
They opened fire in self defense, yet the assailant ran off in an attempt to stab an additional force by the gate.
Forces at the gate stopped him before he managed to stab any bystanders.
