Itongadol.- With his win, Mamistvalov, who completed the course in 2 minutes, 23.72 seconds, brought Israel\’s medal tally to two, adding to the silver medal won by Inbal Pezaro on Tuesday for the women\’s 200-meter freestyle.
The 2013 IPC Swimming World Championships are currently taking place (August 12 – 18, 2013) in Montreal Canada.
The majority of medal winners from the 2012 IPC championships, which took place in London, are competing in Montreal as they start their preparations for the next Paralympic Games in Rio in 2016.
Mamistvalov also competed in this summer\’s Maccabiah games in Israel. He was voted the International Paralympic Committee\’s (IPC) Athlete of the Month for April, 2013 by the public.
