Two young Israeli women were killed, and a third injured, when a jeep overturned in the Salar de Uyuni, the world’s largest salt flat, in southwest Bolivia.
The women, in their 20s, were on a post-army trek.
Israel has no embassy in Bolivia, and the embassy in Peru is dealing with the matter. The Foreign Ministry said that the family of the women have been informed.
A similar accident took place three years ago, killing five Israeli youth.
