The Argentine Jewish community has warned that it "wil not tolerate any other swastika in Argentina," in light of the anti-Semitic upsurge and the various attacks perpetrated against the Argentine Jewry after the military operation carried out by Israel in the Gaza Strip.
Such statement was made by the President of the Delegation of Argentine Israeli Associations (DAIA), Aldo Donzis, speaking at the rally carried out in Buenos Aires, entitled "Against anti-Semitism. Against Terrorism. For Peace."
In a dialogue with the Jewish News Agency (AJN), Donzis noted that "this is an event where the Argentine society, and not only the Argentine Jewry, must express themselves against anti-Semitism, discrimination, terrorism and for the peace and coexistence."
"It was necessary, at some point, to speak up and strongly condemn all anti-Semitic and discriminatory acts, such as those we have been experiencing and seeing in different places in Argentina", Donzis said.
In his speech, the President of DAIA also stressed that "the Palestinian people and the people of Israel should join forces to fight against anti-Semitism, which is precluding a two-state solution."
Donzis also maintained that Israel did nothing but "defend itself" from the constant attacks launched by Palestinian groups against the Jewish State.
