Rocket from Gaza explodes in Israel near border

 No injuries or damage reported.

rocket exploded in an open area of the Gaza border region in the South Monday evening.

IDF units are searching the area for the projectile. There were no injuries in the attack. Rocket sirens sounded in the Sha\’ar Hanegev Regional Council in the area before the rocket fell.

Earlier, citizens in the area reported hearing an explosion.

At the beginning of the month the IDF deployed an Iron Dome missile defense system battery in the southern city of Beersheba.

This is the second rocket to be fired on the area in less than one week, with the last incident occurring last Wednesday.
