Mother of kidnapped youth, ‘We just want to embrace our children’

Itongadol.- The families of the three kidnapped Israeli youths — Gil-Ad Shaer, Naphtali Fraenkel and Eyal Yifrach — gathered on Tuesday in the Fraenkel home in in Nof Ayalon. Following the meeting, Naphtali Fraenkel\’s mother addressed the media and said, "We just want to embrace our children."

"We have come together today for this very important meeting. We met with people who are full of strong, very strong and confidence," Rachel Fraenkel told the cameras.

She added that the families wished to express their support for the security forces who have been "working day and night" to find their sons and to the prime minister who has kept in touch with the families.

"We feel the warm embrace of the Nation of Israel and we ask you to continue praying," she said.

"We just want to embrace our children. Gil-Ad, Eyal and Naphtali, we love you, we miss you, please be strong," Naphtali\’s mother told the media.

It was the first meeting between the relatives from all three families of the abducted yeshiva students since the youths went missing from a hitchhiking point in Gush Etzion last Thursday.

Prime Minister Binyamin spoke with the parents of the three kidnapped Israeli teenagers during the convening, assuring them that everything was being done to locate their sons.

Netanyahu told the families that Israel was employing intensive operational and intelligence means to locate the youths.

“In the name of the people of Israel, I want to give you strength,” he said.

On Monday, Iris and Ori Yifrach, the parents of abducted teenager Eyal Yifrach, faced the media with an emotional address to their son and to the nation and called on the public to continue to pray for their son and the two other kidnapped boys.

As the search for her son and the two other teenagers intensified on Sunday after being kidnapped, allegedly by Hamas operatives, in the West Bank, Rachel Fraenkel, mother of 16-year-old Naftali Fraenkel, tearfully addressed the media for the first time.

On Sunday, Bat-Galim, Gil-Ad Shaer’s mother, also spoke to the media and, thanked the public for its support and the security services for their efforts aimed at finding the boys.
