Itongadol.- Israelis living in Jerusalem’s Old City, as well as tourists entering it, are increasingly being targeted by Arab attacks, according to a report published Thursday by Army Radio.
The report, compiled from statistics gathered by a private security company stationed in the Old City, found that 157 attacks took place in March, more than the three preceding months. In February 150 attacks were reported, 120 in January and 140 in December, the report states.
The report found that the lowest monthly number of attacks recorded in the past two and a half years is 80, or approximately three attacks a day.
The Old City is secured by Israeli police and civilian security companies contracted by the Ministry of Construction.
