Itongadol.- An Israeli bus driver on Tuesday reported there were shots fired at his vehicle while he was traveling in the West Bank, south of Nablus. Security forces founded a bullet lodged in the vehicle. IDF forces are scouring the territory for the perpetrators of the attack.
IDF sources told Ynet that in additional to the operational procedures, investigators are also active on the intelligence front.
The Head of Shomron Regional Council Gershon Mesika said "the lack of proper response to the stone hurling led to an escalation, just as we have warned it would. Whoever treats stone hurlers with leniency will get firebombs and shootings. We urge the security authorities to act firmly against whoever\’s trying to put the lives of Israeli citizens in jeopardy."
Last week a shooting at a bus carrying Israeli civilians took place in the same spot. There were no casualties.
