Yediot Aharonot discusses current US policy toward Syria and notes that, "Now the Obama administration\’s pendulum has swung entirely to the other side. Assad is now evil and the rebels must be supported." However, the author cautions, "The insurgents are split amongst themselves and the majority of them are already leaning towards al Qaeda."

Ma\’ariv assesses that, "Do not be mistaken: Morsi remains true to the aspirations of the Muslim Brotherhood – the establishment of an Islamic state – however, it is clear that he understands the type of tactical decisions which he must make." The author contends that, "Morsi\’s brilliant maneuvers paint him as a genius. If his country\’s sinking economy does not do him in, he is likely to become one of the great leaders in the Arab world."
Yisrael Hayom relates that, "The High Court of Justice decision, which ordered the prompt eviction of the Migron settlement outpost, is long overdue. It almost screams from the direction of every wall following six years of legal battle. The residents of Migron well know that not only people from Peace Now and Palestinian land owners are demanding the eviction, but rather the staunchest supporters of settlements as well."  The author believes that, "The rule which emerges from the decision of the High Court of Justice is that in order to settle the Land, the support of the Government is essential. One cannot simply purchase, on the sly, a parcel of land from its dying owner. On this point the settlers of Migron employed an approach which says that if the Government approves the settlement – terrific, and if not – the strong will dominate and they will take possession of the land without a permit. That is bad for everyo! ne, as well as for the settlement movement."
The Jerusalem Post comments on the opening of the 2012 Paralympics in London: "The Paralympics have developed to the point where they are much more than just an afterthought to the main event. Western countries – including Israel, which was host to the 1968 Paralympics – were the first to develop the games. There appears to be a correlation between the degree of freedom – and prosperity – a country enjoys and the extent to which Paralympic sport is developed. Paralympics may have started as a form of rehabilitation for the disabled, but it has grown to become much more. The outstanding achievements of increasing numbers of Paralympians from across the globe are an inspiration for all humanity, who are too quick to give up when life’s challenges seemingly get too tough to bear."
Haaretz comments on the ruling by the Jerusalem District Court to annul the existing agreement between the Israel Nature and Parks Authority and the Elad Association: "For the past 15 years the City of David National Park, one of the most important historical and archaeological sites in Israel, has been run by the Elad Association, which is identified with the right wing. The transformation of the City of David into an ideological center of a specific political organization, thus allowing it to recruit dubious funds for its activity, is a distortion that cannot be ignored. The government should carry full responsibility for the site\’s operation and security, promising full transparency and professional historical instruction. It should hand the management of the site to the INPA, which is committed to \’carrying out the laws and policies ensuring the preserving of nature, scenery, heritage and state lands.\’"
