A mortar shell fired from the Gaza Strip struck a hot house in an agricultural village in the Ashkelon Coast Regional Council killing a Thai migrant worker on Wednesday.
The worker was evacuated to Barzilai Medical Center in Ashkelon by helicopter where he succumbed to his injuries.
Rocket alert sirens blared in Ashkelon as well as in many communities surrounding Gaza on Wednesday and the Iron Dome rocket defense system made multiple interceptions.
