Itongadol.- EL AL Israel Airlines unveiled its new low-cost cost carrier "UP" on Tuesday.
The new carrier is to operate weekly flights to Berlin, Kiev, Budapest, Prague and Larnaca starting March. Tickets would be offered at a starting rate of $69 per flight.
UP is set to have it own website, although passengers would be able to buy tickets through a travel agent as well.
According to EL AL, travelers would be able to book flights as early as 11 months ahead of time. The fare would increase as the date of the flight approaches. UP will offer two kinds of tickets: "Basic" and "Smart." Passengers buying the former would have to pay extra for checking in luggage, seat reservation, in-flight snacks and other services. The latter ticket would have various services included in the airfare.
