The israeli government warned that it is a “world’s evil end” if the authorities can’t clarify the attack against AMIA, which took place in Buenos Aires on July the 18th in 1994 and in which 85 people were murdered and hundreds wounded.
“It will be a world’s evil end if this attack goes unpunished. I think that Argentina and the rest of the world must continue demanding justice although the dead aren’t going to win anything”, the israeli chancery’s general director for Latin America and the Caribbean, Dorit Shavit, expressed in an exclusive interview with the Jewish News Agency.
Shavit made the warning after that Iran´s government ratified its negative to judge the irani citizens accused of having participated in the attack in a third country as the president Cristina Kirchner proposed in the UN`s General Assembly opening.
“It is not a surprise because Iran is running away from justice. All of us, Argentina and Israel, know that Iran planned the attacks against AMIA and Israel’s Embassy in Buenos Aires. Over more than 15 years it hasn’t had the interest in judging the responsible”, she said.
She also sustained that “if Iran was willing to collaborate with the attack’s clearing it would have already opened the files linked with the ex president Akbar Hashemi Bahramie Rafsanjani and the defence minister Ahmad Vahidi”.
“Everybody knows that Iran planned the attacks and sent Hezbollah to do it and nobody was judged. So, it can happen again in any country in Latin America and the world”, warned Shavit.
The embassy assured that “Iran helps and gives material to terrorist organizations such as Hezbollah, Hamas and may be the Islamic Yihad”.
