South Africa: Antisemitism at a Jewish owned restaurant

 Cape Town – Jewish owner of a restaurant in Sea Point reported suspicious activity which had occurred in the past week.

The first incident was minor vandalism where someone scratched a line on the bathroom door. The second incident was the line was enlarged into a Swastika scratched on the same door. The third incident was the word ‘Satan’ engraved on the door. Following this, two calls from blocked numbers were received on the restaurant phone on Saturday 4 June at 11h23 and 13h09. The calls were blatantly anti-Semitic and consisted of “Fuck you Jews, you should die”.
