The Ministry of Defense showcased an Iron Dome battery at an Indian aerospace and air defense exhibition on Thursday.
India has expressed interest in purchasing the system to protect it from short-range enemy rockets.
It was the first time that an Iron Dome battery has been put on display outside of Israel.
The director-general of the Ministry of Defense, Maj.-Gen. (res.). Udi Shani, together with Israel\’s Ambassador to India, Alon Ushpiz, and the heads of Iron Dome\’s manufacturers, Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, all attended the Aero India 2013 exhibition to represent the air defense battery.
