W.Bank: Swastikas scrawled on ancient synagogue

Palestinians defaced the ancient synagogue of Naaran on the outskirts of Jericho on Friday, police said. Swasitkas and graffiti in Arabic were scrawled onto the floor of the synagogue.
Police have dispatched a unit to the area to investigate.
Chairmen of the Lobby for Greater Israel MKs Arye Eldad (National Union) and Ze\’ev Elkin (Likud) strongly condemned the graffiti attack, saying that, "the use of Nazi symbols demonstrate the close connection between Nazi anti- Semitisim, and the Palestinian hatred for Jews."
In a statement released in response to the attack, Elkin and Eldad issued a demand that the Israeli government take over responsibility of the site.
