Yediot Aharonot notes that, "The IEAE report is comprised, in fact, of data passed to the organization from at least ten countries. And that is the world’s tragedy. If the IAEA report tells us what the world knew two years ago – we can allow ourselves to surmise that the situation today is much worse than what was leaked yesterday."
Yisrael Hayom says, "Excuse us for being right!" The author notes that, "Even if the IAEA finally awakened, it is not disclosing anything new to Israel. For close to twenty years Israel has been warning against the Iranian nuclear bomb."
Ma’ariv contends that, "The deep rooted axiom according to which ‘there is no military solution’ to the rocket fire from the Gaza Strip is fundamentally wrong. In the end, it is only a matter of a decision." The author continues, "They made the same claim regarding suicide bombers until Operation Defensive Shield in which the IDF took control of Judea and Samaria and dramatically lowered the ceiling on terrorism."
Haaretz comments: "The "price tag" graffiti sprayed on the home of Hagit Ofran of Peace Now on Tuesday is part of a consistent delegitimization campaign against left-wing organizations. Virtually not a day goes by without peace activists suffering threats to their lives or damage to their property. On the eve of the 16th memorial day in honor of former Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, who fell victim to a campaign of incitement by the extreme right, it seems that the lesson has not been learned. With the start of the Knesset’s winter session, Netanyahu came out in support of a bill by his confidant, MK Ofir Akunis (Likud), intended to stigmatize and shackle the activities of NGOs that focus on protecting the rights of minorities and monitoring the behavior of government agencies. The prime minister’s active support for this idiotic bill shows that he has not internalized Vladimir Jabotinsky’s teachings or Menachem Begin’s legacy regarding the essence of democracy."
The Jerusalem Post writes: "On Friday, November 11 at 11:11 p.m. Zurich time (1:11p.m. Israel time) the New7Wonders of the World vote will draw to a close. Our very own Dead Sea is one of the 28 finalists that stand a chance of being chosen. Famous for its therapeutic minerals and for the way people float in it like corks, the Dead Sea is evaporating away at a rate of one meter a year. Worldwide appreciation for the Dead Sea, as reflected in a successful voting turnout, will increase the motivation to save it. Unfortunately, there are no easy solutions."
