Itongadol/AJN.- Israel scheduled to release fourth and final batch of convicted terrorists at the end of the month.

Deputy defense minister Danny Danon threatened Wednesday to leave his post by the end of the month if the fourth round of Palestinian prisoner releases takes place – as planned – on March 28.

Danon sent the threat to Netanyahu and revealed it in a meeting with mothers of terror victims in the Knesset.

"I believe that by working together, we can stop the unnecessary release of terrorists and prevent it," Danon told the mothers. "There is no reason to release these murderers. If there will be a fourth round, I won\’t sit in the government anymore."

Shari Mandel, whose 13-year-old son Koby was killed by terrorist in 2001, said she was glad that Israeli authorities never found the murderers of her son, because she could not bear what the families of the victims of the terrorists being released are going through.

"Most of the public is against this," said Mandell, who heads an organization of mothers of terror victims called Forever Mothers. "The role of the government is to protect the people. The blood of my son is screaming from the ground."

Rivka Livnat, whose 24-year-old son Ben-Yosef was shot to death on the way out of his prayers at Joseph\’s tomb in 2011, said it pained her to come back to the Knesset to lobby against the fourth round of prisoner releases after failing to stop the other rounds.

"It\’s hard for me to sit here yet again, and I don\’t want other mothers to have to be here," she said. "It pains me to know that they\’re building families while my grandchildren don\’t know their father. There is no justice."
