Lebanese MP calls to include Hezbollah in new cabinet

Itongadol.- Progressive Socialist Party leader in remarks published in the Lebanon\’s The Daily Star on Saturday said that Hezbollah should be included in Lebanon\’s next government.
Walid Jumblatt told the daily As-Safir: “I believe in the principle of Hezbollah\’s participation in the government, whether directly or indirectly, since it is not possible to isolate anyone or abolish anyone.”
Hezbollah has called for a cabinet that includes all parties and the party has previously called for holding veto power in it, the Daily Star reported.
After interim prime minister Najib Mikati stepped down in March, attempts to form a new cabinet have been put on hold as lawmakers discuss a new election law.
