Itongadol.-Projectile fired on Israel\’s southern front causing no damage or injuries; earlier a mortar shell fell in the Israeli Golan heights in an apparent Syria spillover.
A mortar shell was fired at Israel from Gaza Strip late on Wednesday, the military confirmed.
The shell struck an open area in the southern Eshkol Regional Council, located near the Gaza border, causing no damages or injuries. This was the first such incident since a Gaza rocket hit the southern city of Sderot last month.
Earlier on Wednesday, a mortar shell landed in Israeli territory in the Golan Heights in what the IDF said was an apparent spillover from the fighting in Syria. No damage or injuries were reported.
This was the fifth such incident in Israel\’s northern border in the past three days and the eighth time a projectile from Syria hits the Israeli Golan in the past 11 days.
On Tuesday night, the Israel Air Force struck Syrian military artillery after three projectiles hit the central Golan Heights.
