Itongadol.- The Kotel Hamaarabi’s Rabbi, Shmuel Rabinowitz, recommended  to  “use this days to pass on the Jewish Legacy to the next generation, do everything possible so that your kids are like the wise son and not the others of the Hagada’s and explain about the eternity of the Israel people and its values, and the duty to maintain the Jewish identity so it stays sacred and pure”. His words where made from Jerusalem in an exclusive interview with the Jewish News Agency.

The Hagada is the book read during the Seder, ritual dinner, that in Israel is made during the first night of Passover and in the Diaspora during the two first nights. This tells the Exodus story of slavery in Egypt to freedom.

Rabinowitz said that this holyday means “education and freedom”. “This is the transmission to the future generation, my sons, of the glorious legacy of my father, my grandfather and every generation that came before me, and the spiritual freedom: after Egypt’s exit we received the values and the Torah, that nobody could take away from us when we went through hard exiles, awful persecutions and a terrible Shoah; with them we survived and won”, he added.

He also explained that during Passover Israel lives a “sanctity’s atmosphere” and that “Jerusalem is always sacred, and during a festivity even more”.

“No matter how much we want to celebrate Passaover as it is written and do the sacrifice” in the Third Temple, that will be built after the Messiah’s arrival, “as long as we can´t do that, everyone comes to Jersualem to keep the memory of the peregrination like when it existed”
