Itongadol.- The government is warning the public to take extra precautions ahead of a potential weekend heatwave that could hit 40°.
Friday through Sunday will be scorchers, according to the Health Ministry, which advised the elderly, the chronically ill and children who are in danger of dehydration to stay indoors.
The heat wave will be in all parts of the country, with temperatures reaching 40° in the lower areas in the center of the country, 37° to 39° on the coast and 35° in the hilly regions.
Avoid exposure to the sun and heat, do not physically exert yourself unnecessarily and make sure to drink cool water and remain in air conditioned rooms, if possible, the ministry said.
