Itongadol.- Pope Francis will travel to Israel from May 24th to 26th but he will not do it alone: his big retinue has invited Rabbi Abraham Skorka and the ex general secretary of the Islamic Centre Omar Abboud, both Argentinians.

"During this trip many concepts we have exchanged will be materialized. The greatness of his compromise is shown with peace in the region and with the jewish world. I was chosen, and it is an honor, because we spent much time together in a very deep dialogue", Skorka said, in dialogue with the Jewish News Agency (AJN) before traveling to join Francis in The Holy Land.

"We spoke about this trip, the importance of the Jewish State for the jewish people, the Middle East crisis, the dramatic need of peace and the fact that the first journey programmed by him is Middle East is very meaningful", he added.

"He is committed with this trip, with following that line so as there´s peace in Jesus´ land. I ask God to manifest, with all his strength and spirituality, messages that leave a shining light in the region", he ended.

Abboud also spoke to AJN and said: "The Pope is bringing a new coexistence model, that is the Argentinian one, to other places. In this country the interfaith dialogue isn´t by chance, it is a voluntarily construction".

"The Pope is a tireless fighter for the peace and that planet´s zone, in particular, needs this kind of messages. It is not his role to pacify, he is a preacher and he has a head and heart to recommend through his word, talking not to the strictly rational political fact, but to the people´s soul", he expressed.
