Israeli businesspeople to enter US more easily

 Interior Minister Gideon Sa\’ar approved on Monday a new pilot program to expedite entry to the United States for frequent business travelers.

Israel is joining Global Entry, a customs and border protection program, to advance cooperation between Israel and the United States in easing travel and entry to the U.S. for Israelis who pose no security threat.

The Population and Immigration Authority will head the project, in tandem with the Foreign, Interior and Finance ministries. Israeli businesspeople and other frequent travelers to the U.S. will be able to qualify for the program. They will undergo rigorous background checks and interviews before enrollment in both the U.S. and Israel.
