srael will return the bodies of Palestinian terrorists buried in Israel to the Palestinian Authority (PNA) as a goodwill gesture amid the renewed peace talks, the Ynet news website reported on Wednesday.
The move comes less than 24 hours after the Israeli Prison Service released 26 Palestinian prisoners back to Gaza and the West Bank.
The moves are made amid the renewed negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians.
According to the report, Israel will transfer the bodies of all terrorists buried on its turf, although an exact number was not specified.
A Palestinian official confirmed the report to the website and said the deal regards several dozens of bodies.
Last year, Israel passed over 91 bodies of deceased militants, among them 79 were transferred to the West Bank and 12 to the Gaza Strip.
